COURTSIDE FOR GEORGETOWN v DUKE JOINS CBS SPORTS BROADCASTERS FOR COMMENTARY The president, vice president and senior aides had courtside seats at Washington's Verizon Center on Saturday to watch #8 Duke take on #7 Georgetown. Just after the half, President Obama joined CBS sports broadcasters for a little on air commentary. Mr. Obama admitted that he can't watch a full game during the regular season, relying instead on ESPN's SportsCenter to keep him posted. But, he added, that changed during March Madness. Vice President Biden said Saturday during a visit to Iraq that the U.S will appeal a federal court decision dismissing manslaughter charges against five Blackwater security guards involved in a 2007 Baghdad shooting that left 17 dead. Mr. Biden added that he was disappointed by the judge's ruling that prosecutors mishandled the case, and that the U.S. would file their appeal next week. An attorney for one of the Blackwater guards criticized the announcement today in Iraq for being based on politics and not on the law.
President Obama and the First Lady returned to the White House Tuesday afternoon after spending part of the day in Wilmington, Delaware, attending funeral services for Jean Biden, the vice president's mother. Marine One ferried the two from Andrews AFB to the South Lawn of the White House, where they walked up the South Lawn and into the residence.

Fox News has confirmed that President Barack Obama will nominate Ben Bernanke to a second four year term as Chairman of the Federal Reserve. The official announcement is expected at 9 o'clock Tuesday morning, when President Obama will make a statement to the White House Press Corps in Oak Bluffs, Mass. Chairman Bernanke will be with Mr. Obama on Martha's Vineyard, where the president is vacationing with his family this week. His current term as chairman expires January 31, 2010.
